Terms of Service

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Verdant Trails, governing your access to and use of our website, services, and any content or materials provided by Verdant Trails. By using our site, submitting booking inquiries, or entering into a service agreement, you agree to these terms. If you are booking on behalf of others, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms on their behalf. Please read carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the services. For privacy practices see our Privacy Policy.

1. Services and Booking

Verdant Trails provides travel planning services including but not limited to itinerary design, partner coordination, booking facilitation, and local support. Descriptions of services are for informational purposes and may be revised. When you request a quote or booking, we will provide a proposal with scope, pricing, and partner details. A booking is confirmed when Verdant Trails issues a written confirmation and any required deposit or payment is received. Confirmations include supplier names and key terms. Additional supplier terms may also apply; you are responsible for reviewing and accepting those supplier terms in addition to these Terms of Service.

2. Payments, Fees, and Refunds

Payments are processed using secure payment providers. Our proposals specify amounts due, deposit schedules, and payment methods. Unless otherwise stated, deposits are non-refundable after supplier commitments are made. Refunds for supplier cancellations or modifications are subject to supplier refund policies; Verdant Trails will facilitate any claims but cannot guarantee supplier refunds. In certain circumstances Verdant Trails may offer credits or alternatives in lieu of monetary refunds. Currency, taxes, and any mandatory local fees are described in the proposal. You are responsible for accurate billing information; Verdant Trails reserves the right to suspend or cancel services for failed payment attempts after reasonable notice.

3. Changes, Cancellations, and Force Majeure

You may request changes to itineraries prior to supplier confirmations; such requests are subject to availability and may incur fees. Cancellation policies vary by supplier and service; Verdant Trails will provide the applicable cancellation terms at booking. Verdant Trails is not liable for delays, failures, or unforeseen events caused by force majeure including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, governmental actions, or other events beyond reasonable control. When force majeure affects travel, we will work to propose alternatives and provide available support, but cannot guarantee refund or replacement services beyond the remedies offered by suppliers and insurers.

4. Liability, Insurance, and Assumption of Risk

Verdant Trails acts as an intermediary and travel designer; many elements of services are performed by independent suppliers. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verdant Trails disclaims liability for loss, injury, illness, or other harm arising from acts or omissions of suppliers, carriers, or third parties. You are responsible for securing appropriate travel, medical, and cancellation insurance before travel. We strongly recommend coverage that includes medical evacuation and trip cancellation. Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence where prohibited by law.

5. Intellectual Property and Use of Content

All site content, images, branding, layouts, and written materials are the property of Verdant Trails or licensed partners and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for personal, non-commercial use only. Reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative works without express written permission is prohibited. When you submit photos, testimonials, or other content to Verdant Trails, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that material for promotional and operational purposes. You warrant that you have the rights to submit such content and that it does not infringe others’ rights.

6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict of law principles. Parties will attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiation. Where resolution cannot be achieved, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of San Francisco County, California, unless a different jurisdiction is required by applicable local law. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Changes to Terms and Contact Information

Verdant Trails may update these Terms occasionally to reflect legal or operational changes. We will publish revised terms with an updated effective date. Continued use of services after updates indicates acceptance of the revised Terms. For questions about these Terms, contact:
